Obituary of Marilyn L. Morrison

Marilyn L. Morrison, 80, of Muscatine, formerly of Atalissa died Sunday, April 24, 2016, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City. Marilyn Lee Bell was born February 19, 1936, in Iowa City the daughter of Vernon and Margaret (Cannon) Bell. She raised her family in Atalissa, moving to Muscatine after her children were grown. Marilyn loved the simple things in life, her gardens, flowers, her dog named Mugs, but most of all she loved being mom, grandma and great-grandma! Her family includes her children, Clem Morrison (Michele), Merle Morrison (Patti), Marion "Ted" Morrison, Eugena "Jeanne" Ross (Robert), Tammy Smith (Teddy Kauffman), Twyla Hertz (Dale); 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; and 7 brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, former husband, Eugene Morrison, a brother, a sister, her dog, Mugs, and a granddaughter, Jill Rehan.
