Obituary of Joan L. Shaffer

Joan Shaffer went to sleep in Jesus on July 8, 2023, at the age of 101. She was active in the Iowa City Seventh-day Adventist Church as a pianist, teacher, and church clerk. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, and is survived by four children, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 4pm Sunday, August 13, 2023, at the Iowa City Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1007 Rider Street.  Inurnment will take place at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota with her husband, George.
