I will always remember all the good trips to Des Moines State Fair and other times we enjoyed hours together. Oney was our ears and I was our eyes so together we made a great team. She made many jars of blue ribbon jelly and enjoyed watching the judging and listening to the judges comments. On the way back from Des Moines she would decide what to taste-test for the next year.

I remember a special Christmas gathering at our Grandmother Loretta's home with my family and our Rafferty cousins, aunts & uncles - Aunt Oney had copies printed of Christmas carols & led us in singing. It was so much fun!!!
