Condolences
I went all through school with Ruthie. She was smart, a bookworm, a great pianist and organist. She played the organ when I was married in 1970. She was such a sweet person. Didn’t know anyone who didn’t like her. She’s in God’s hands now but then she always was. Condolences to her whole amazing family.
Ruth and Russ are great friends from Church and biking. Went to the Holy Lands with them and 20 others. Great experience! Ruth will and is missed. Love!

Russ and family, Ruth will be fondly remembered as a long-time, faithful member of the "Blues Volunteers" (our wonderful North Liberty Blues & BBQ volunteer team). I will miss seeing her sign up come through in the spring and then seeing her in person at the festival. Praying for your comfort as you grieve and miss her.
I always loved serving the Free Lunch program serving line next to Ruth! And Russ too!

I was blessed to work alongside Ruth when I worked In HR at the University of Iowa. She was kind, helpful & had a great laugh! I remember how dedicated she was to creating beautiful music playing the organ & how she looked forward to sharing that with others at her organ recitals. So thankful that God allowed our paths to cross. Peace & comfort to Ruth’s family & friends.
I enjoyed the years that Ruth played organ at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. She was a talented musician and a gentle soul. Please accept my deepest sympathy.
Ruth was a colleague of mine at the university, and was a source of wisdom and understanding. I fondly remember, and miss, Ruth's wry wit. Sometimes I couldn't tell when she was being serious or facetious - until she smiled...which she did a lot. Ruth was funny, supportive, knowledgeable, and caring. I am sorry for the loss to all Ruth's family and friends.
I am heart sore at Ruth's passing. I will miss her sweet sense of humor as I work the desk at the pantry. She , Russ, and I often worked the Tuesday afternoon shift together. I can hardly believe she is no longer with us but know she was welcomed with open arms into her heavenly home. Rest in peace,Ruth.
I am so sorry to learn of Ruth's passing. I knew her through the Organ Guild and also as a member of Gloria Dei where she played the organ for many years. She was such a lovely lady and I always enjoyed seeing her.
I am so sorry to learn about Ruth's passing. She was a co-worker in the early 90s and was always so kind and patient, with a wonderful sense of humor. She was a talented musician and a bright light. My deepest condolences to Russ and family.
Always tried to get to her special organ recitals at the Congregational church. She was a wonderful person and musician and lots of fun to be around.
I am saddened to hear of Ruth’s passing. She was a wonderful lady and I enjoyed working with her. Deepest sympathies to her husband and family.
I read with sadness this morning’s Gazette reporting Ruth’s death. She was such a lovely person to work with, always open, helpful and kind. She helped make the days for those with whom she worked just a little less stressful and more pleasant. My heartfelt sympathy to her husband and family; may she rest in eternal peace.

I was fortunate to work at the North Liberty Community Pantry as a staff member during Ruth and Russ's many shifts. They were very devoted to the Pantry and always warm and welcoming to families. They both were an amazing help during the pandemic. A very sweet woman that will certainly be missed.
I was fortunate to work closely with Ruth in the year before her retirement. I will remember her graciousness and sense of humor, both personally and professionally. My thoughts and prayers are with Russ and their family.
Although I didn’t work with Ruth as long as many of my colleagues, during the years that I overlapped with her, she was very supportive of me and our team. Ruth patiently oriented me to many things when I transitioned to more of an administrative role. And she had a quiet wit and seeming full full of energy. She will be missed. My sympathy to her family.
I am so saddened to hear or Ruth's passing. Ruth has been a friend, neighbor and swim sister for many years. I will truly miss her sweet and loving personality.
