Obituary of Katherine I. Wolters

Katherine Irene Wolters, age 82, formerly of the Iowa City, area passed away at Hope Hospice House, in Cape Coral, FL on Sunday, December 10,2023.

She was a resident of Gulf Coast Village Independent Living for the past 13 years.  She was a past President of the Resident Council for two terms, as well as an active member of the community.

Kathy was born in Muscatine, Iowa on March 29, 1941. She was the daughter of Myrtle (Swank) and Edward Brennan. She attended school and graduated from West Liberty High School. She worked and retired from Moore Business Forms. She married Robert Wolters on October 19, 1979. They retired to Cape Coral, Florida in 2002.

Kathy was preceded in death by her husband Robert and her parents.

She is survived by her sister Margaret Djerf, Barbara Stagg, and brother Larry Brennan Brothers-in-law, Bill Djerf, Harley Stagg and Sister-in-law Helen Brennan as well as nieces Deborah, Sheri, Cynthia, Teri, Lyn, Ann, Tami, Michele and nephews Ron, Jeff and Jon.

Graveside Services will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City, Iowa on April 20, 2024 at 11:00 A.M.
