Alan B. Moy
1959 - 2024
Condolences
I remember Alan from Medical school and recall him being a wonderful person, very kind and thoughtful. May God bless his soul. Best wishes to his family and friends. May memories of him live within your hearts and provide some degree of happiness during what must be a difficult time.
I am so sorry that such a nice, kind, doctor-who-listened- to-you has left us! He was the first pulmonologist I met when I was having troubles breathing. He was able to do a bit of research and find that I have a rare lung disease which is easier to look up LAM than spell it. He was able to set me on my path of caring for myself, sent me to a different pulmonologist at Mercy because he was getting into research about the adult stem cells.
I shall never forget him, and I pray for his family--May the Lord fill the void in their lives with His comfort and Love...

We are so sad to hear about Dr. Moy's passing. We enjoyed working with him when he would come to Avera in Aberdeen SD. He was such a kind person and a wonderful doctor. God Bless!
My sincere condolences to the family of Dr. Moy. I interacted with him in Truth for Health Foundation and found him to have a towering presence and a profound goodness. I am absolutely sure he will be greatly missed by many, and am also absolutely sure he heard "Well done, good and faithful servant".

It has been years since I have seen you Alan . I watched videos of you giving talks about adult stem cells. I continue to have you in my brag book. What a generous and committed doctor you became. You have remained in my thoughts over the years. You were brilliant as a kid and as an adult. I wish things were different so that we could have spent more time together. I will continue to pray for you and ask that you pray for us. I will continue to pray for your familia. This has been very hard to realize you are now with your dad and with God . We think there is always more time ,but there isn't really. Fly with the angels, Nana Nea, Tio Lee and your dad, Tio Ernie. Love you so much! "O my God! O Thou forgiver of sins, bestower of gifts, dispeller of afflictions! Verily,I beseech thee to forgive the sins of such have ascended to the spiritual world. O my Lord! Purify them from trespasses, dispel their sorrow, and change their darkness into light. Cause them to enter the garden of happiness, cleanse them with the most pure water , and grant them to behold Thy splendors on the loftiest mount." From the Bahai Sacred Writings
I am grateful to have known such an excellent pulmonologist. My heart goes out to his family.
I worked as Dr. Moy’s nurse at his outreach in Aberdeen, SD. Man, he did not like South Dakota winters but he still kept coming back. His work and his patients were important to him. I enjoyed the down times when we would just get to talk. He talked about his wife and family quite a bit. He was a devoted husband and father. I learned quite a bit from him as it was my first time working in pulmonology. He truly enjoyed the teaching aspect and always showed me great patience and respect. I will continue to hold him and his family up in prayer. Dr. Moy you will truly be missed. God speed
My sincere condolences to Dr. Moy’s family and those who worked so closely with him. This is such a tragic loss to humanity. I learned a great deal from him, and I feel so honored that he worked with our Truth for Health Foundation Catholics for Preservation of Life Advisory Council for so long, given the enormity of the workload he carried. I was shocked to learn from his recent letter that he had end-stage cancer and was already in hospice at the time he wrote that incredible letter too supporters around the world. This is such a loss to the world, and yet his incredible legacy lives on through the research and business developments he led and his provisions for this work to be sustained. As we face his loss here in this world, it helps to know that he was a man of such deep faith, and will be with our Lord.

My condolences. I got to know Alan during the "pandemic", but in that time he was not only a person I considered a sincere friend but also a true mentor and a fighter. A man I admired. A man who achieved a LOT. A man who stood for the truth irrespective of the antagonism from those around him. He is deeply missed. His soul will be in our prayers...May he rest in peace.
I am very sorry to hear of Alan's death. I knew and worked with Alan off and on since 1989. I recall fondly the times he described to me something extraordinary or exciting he had discovered. I liked hearing him laugh at those moments. I will cherish and feel the loss for not being able to again share in his joyful enthusiasm.
Leigh and I send our prayers and wish that with time your pain for his loss will diminish.
We are sorry of Alan’s death. I was a colleague of Alan at Mercy hospital. Enjoyed working with him. Very bright person. Our condolences. Dick/Judy Neiman
In knowing Alan, my life was immeasurable better. Alan clearly answered our Lord's call when He said "Come, Follow Me".
Alan's deep faith was evidenced in his daily selfless acts.
My wife, Arlean and I pray, with certitude, that our Lord welcomed Alan by saying "Well done, My good and faithful servant." (Matthew 25:21).
May God bless you and may you now enjoy His presence forever.

I am sad to see that a family friend and my colleague since 1989 passed away.
You may know this, but we started at Iowa together as pulmonary fellows.
He was a great dad and husband.
A deeply devoted and faithful individual who never took the easy way.
He was a pioneer in his love of research and trying to find successful ways to treat devastating diseases with stem cells that were not of embryonic stem cell origin.
Alan, you are a great man.
You will very much be missed, and our prayers are with your family.
Rest in peace.
