My apologies that my condolences for Jack are 8 months late. I recently found out of Jacks passing. I had the pleasure of working for Jack at the Iowa State Bank in Iowa city in the mid to late 80’s, managing the retail lending dept. Jack and myself were both Veterans. . We’d shared our many Navy and Army experiences over a few libations. Throughout my banking career, I considered Jack one of my best bosses that I ever worked for. He was far, supportive, and caring; just to mention a few great qualities of Jack. I lost touch with Jack many years ago; however, I never forgot him. He made a life long impression on me personally, and also my banking career. RIP fellow Comrade. And may God continue to Bless you, and your family.

I had the pleasure and honor of working with Jack Koberg at Iowa State Bank. He was a mentor to me and supported the advancement of my career in banking. He had a great sense of humor, and you never knew when it would show up. I got the pleasure of meeting Jack several times. Even got a chance to play a round of golf with him. One of my favorite memories is when he told me about the time he meet Warren Buffet. My condolences to the family

WHAT a guy! I met Jack on a real estate loan deal. I took several clients to meet with him over the yeas. I also met and was friends at the Iowa City Elks Club. Jack was very well-liked and he was a great story teller. A man of great pride in his Family and his Country. A Proud Veteran for sure. Anchors Away Jack!
