Obituary of Nicolas Cody Morrison

Nicolas Cody Morrison, age 45 passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024, at home surrounded by his family under hospice care.

Nick was born May 14, 1979, in Iowa City the son of Randy Morrison and Lauren (Liebergen) Morrison. He attended schools at Highland graduating with the class of 1997 from Highland High School, near Riverside.  He began working in high school at the Shamrock where he developed his love for cooking.  From here he worked for Homewood Electric, Sorrel Glass, Unc & Nephs and most recently the Kalona Brewery.  Nick loved music, but more important than anything to him was his family and friends!

His family includes his sons, Nico Weinard, Abel and Henley Morrison; step-children, Tyler, Jacob, Kendall and Bennett Madden; parents, Lauren and John Spenner; grandfather, Gerald Liebergen; nephew, Tucker Morrison; niece, Gracie Morrison; aunts, uncles and cousins; but a very special cousin and dear friend, Amanda Morrison (Nick Clifton).

Nick was preceded in death by his father, Randy Morrison; brother, Nathan Morrison; maternal grandmother, Marlene Liebergen and uncle, Lance Liebergen.
