I am so sorry for your loss. I have such fond memories of coach Rogers from wrestling at West High School. He had a positive energy and really connected with students. He was just starting Triple R Driving School and he drove us around in his first car, complete with the passenger side brake and door magnets for advertising.

Dear Rogers Family, We have never met but I live in your old Coralville neighborhood. For two decades I have daily driven or walked by your house.

I often saw Randy, said hello or waved. His big smile and wave were always appreciated. I know many parents who entrusted their children to learn to drive from him. From reading the obituary he leaves an impactful legacy My condolences on your loss.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Randy was such a great person. He and Dale were close friends during all those West High Years. My sincere sympathy to all of you.

You have my emmence sympathies on your loss of a giant in education. Randy was my favorite teacher at West High and encouraged me to go to Iowa State majoring in Architecture. I took every drafting class West had to offer, so Randy created an independent study class just for me to design a house with plans and a model. I took the project to UNI for Industrial Art context and won a 1st place award. He displayed that model for many years in his classroom after I graduated in 1973. Randy will be missed by all our classmates.

So sorry to hear about Mr. Rogers he will be greatly missed by all that knew him when his cars need some attention he would take his car to McGurk Meyer Motors and my husband was the one who worked on his cars may Mr. Rogers RIP

He was one of my teachers for all four years at West. His classes were some of my fondest memories from high school, was really great at connecting individually to all his students. A rare gem, glad he was able to inspire the lives of so many kids. He'll be missed❤️.

RIP coach! Randy taught my older sister, many (if not all) of her kids and my youngest daughter how to drive. He was my wrestling coach at West high back when they still had Junior high there.

Although I never had Mr. Rogers as a teacher, you could tell he was a great educator who connected well with all students. He always appeared to be having fun!
