Obituary of Mary Margaret Bainbridge

Mary M. Bainbridge, age 89, of 320 E. Washington Street, Iowa City died Wednesday, October 20, 2004, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. A Memorial Mass will be held at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, October 23, 2004, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Iowa City with the Reverend Ken Kuntz officiating. Hudson Bainbridge was born April 23, 1915, in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of John and Delia (Talbot) Hudson. She graduated from Visitation High School and attended Bryant & Stratton Business College both in Chicago. On October 21, 1943, she married Russell B. Bainbridge at Camp Shelby, Mississippi. Prior to moving to Iowa City in 1990 the couple lived in Des Moines. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Iowa City and the Secular 3rd Order of Franciscan. Her family includes her husband, Russell; children, Russell B. Bainbridge Jr. and his wife, Nancy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Suzanne Dingman and her husband, Bob of Vallejo, California, Joseph Bainbridge and his wife, Kathryn of Coralville and Thomas Bainbridge and his wife, Mary Anne of Mount Pleasant; thirteen grandchildren, Russell B. Bainbridge III, Sabrina Bainbridge, Thomas Bainbridge, Amanda Hamilton and her husband, Phillip, Benjamin Dingman, Sara Turnquist and her husband, Troy, Laura Conrad and her husband, Josh, Jeffrey Bainbridge, Jonathan Bainbridge, Anne Bainbridge, Elizabeth Bainbridge, Theresa Bainbridge, and David Bainbridge; and three great-grandchildren, Conor and Isaac Hamilton, and Hannah Turnquist. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 1 brother.
