Condolences
Krysty always brightened the room when she walked in. She was such a an important part of our chess community. Younger girls looked up to her at our camps and tournaments. A true role model. I am so glad to have known her.
Sweet Sweet Krysty, brave, kind, beautiful and always uplifting everyone around you in your few years on earth. I always remember the smile despite everything you went through and positive encouragement to all your friends. May your sweet soul rest in peace, we will remember you forever, love and hugs.
Words cannot express how heartbroken we are over your loss. Krysty's beautiful spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Rest in peace, beautiful angel!
Krysty was such an amazing soul. We are devastated by her loss. I first met her as a student in our chess club. I became her student in life, watching her live her life to the fullest and remaining positive through unimaginable health tribulations. We love you, Krysty, and miss you so much.
So sorry to hear of your loss. My prayers are.with your family.
What a beautiful girl. I am so very sorry for your family's loss.
Condolences to you. We met Krysty when she came to a Houston Iowa Club game watch while at MD Anderson in Houston for treatment
Bujakowska family sorry for your loss. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Krysty brought a lot of smiles to her family, friends and Hawkeye family. It was a true blessing to see her as Kid Captain. Keep all the good memories in your hearts forever. God Bless you all.
I met Krysty's mom 11 years ago when we had both just moved to Iowa City. At that time, Krysty was a joyful little girl, always full of energy. I remember her playing with her brother, running around, and delighting in the simple joys of childhood. She was lively and talented—playing chess, swimming, acting—always embracing life with enthusiasm. That same spirited personality she had as a little kid must have helped her face this long battle with incredible courage. Even though she is no longer with us, in many ways, she won that battle because she left behind nothing but beautiful memories. We will always remember her as a brave and strong girl. Rest in peace, Krysty, and may you continue to play and find joy wherever you are now.
Krysty was indeed one of a kind. Her sweetness, bravery, love of life will always be an inspiration. Heartfelt sympathy to her wonderful family, who brought her into this world.
Krysty was a ray of sunshine wherever she went. She made everything and everyone better. She spread her love and kindness wherever she want and cancer did not change that. She touched and inspired so many lives and that piece of her will always be here with us. Our deepest condolences to Kate, Michal, Artur, and Stan! ♥️
I was Krysty’s 1st grade reading teacher. What a special girl! She was so sweet and kind. Not many first graders when asked how they were doing followed up with asking me how I was doing. I will always remember Kristy. Rest in peace. My deepest condolences to Kate and all her family.
