Carol taught next to me in Oxford for many years. I was a first year teacher and a Carol helped me through the ups and downs of those first trying years. We had adjoining rooms and when we opened the door, our desks were right next to each other. Many a conversations happened in that doorway. What comments to write on report cards was the funniest . We constantly would ask each other if our comment sounded right. We’d laugh as we moved through this ordeal as we saw it.
Carol was a patient, kind and supportive lady that would do anything to help someone out! I appreciated her friendship and still remember her retirement party in the school’s cafeteria. She didn’t want a big fuss. Just family and her Oxford teaching friends! We gave her a tree!
I hadn’t seen Carol in many, many years, but she touched my heart and will always be my friend! My deepest condolences to her family! Carol, I love you ! Rest in peace
