My condolences to Vilda's family. I got to know Bob and Vilda at Mercy Hospital. Plus, I lived by them. So often I would drive on Sheridan and Bob would be sitting by the front window with book in hand. Talking with Bob and Vilda about family, books, events, flowers, history and any other topic was always informative and lively. What you wrote about Vilda touched on her kindness, sense of purpose beyond herself, and ability to relate to people. She was a dedicated Mercy volunteer and came on Saturday to deliver patients' mail. She understood how a greeting card could lift a person's spirits. She had great sorrow in her life but her faith sustained her to keep moving, help others and find joy in each day. I was lucky to know Vilda and Bob. Peace to you.
