Mary L. "Marilu" Jameson
1932 - 2024
Condolences
Sister Jameson was my and my sister's sunday school teacher at Burton, Ne. We are adopted kids and Pastor and Mrs. Jameson dedicated both my sister Lori and I. My folks had joined the church at Burton also, while they were Pastors in the 60's. They are the most humble obedient servants I have ever met, who specialize in building people and encouraging them in their calling. Pastor Jameson asked me several years ago to help Him with the music at Prince of Peace Retirement Community, where He did Pastoral Wednesday morning services giving the residents the Word of God. For 5 years I was with Him in this and low and behold in 2009 I was priviledged to get the position as Activity Assistant at this facility. It has been 15 years now, and I am so glad Pastor Jameson asked me to help. The Jameson's also gave me many spiritual magazines and books when they retired and now I use those at my job at Prince of Peace. The Lord has used them to minister to me and They helped me in getting my license with the AOG. Sister Jameson used to call me little Johnny Broadbooks in Sunday School and to me that is still special. When around the Jamesons one feels like being in the prescence of the Lord. May God's comfort and peace rest upon all the family. We do love and miss You in Sioux Falls.
Marilu was a special friend and a great minister. We will miss her.
What an Honor it was to know this lady. Always, will have a special place in my Heart for her. Admired her Love for God and Family. She will truely be missed, but know that Heaven has received a True Angel. My sincere condolences to the family.
She was an Awesome grandma! The BEST!! She helped raise my brother and I. I will miss her and love her forever! It's not good-bye! It's see you again in heaven. Love you Fritz!!
Marilu was an excellent mother n law. She was funny, sweet caring and loving. She got me to get back into Church on a regular basis. Our fun trips to Wal Mart were she just needed a couple things but would come out with a cart load. She will definitely be missed by many. R.I.P Mom.
Sister "J" Jameson came to our church when I was 18 months old and is the mother of one of my longest friends. Even though they moved away when I was 8 and I have moved several places as I got older, we kept in touch. Loved when she and Bro. J would come an visit on their way to a Florida adventure. She loved God, loved people and loved introducing people to an abundant life in Christ. Well done good and faithful servant. So glad she was part of my life. She was my first mentor before I even knew what a mentor was. (More is caught than taught.)
I used to chat with Marilu at LIFE Church. She is one of the sweetest, kindest people I have ever known. Myself, resting in the assurance of Salvation through Jesus Christ, I trust to see her again, in her glorified state. "Behold, I AM making all things new!"
Yes, Sister ‘J’ Jameson was the BEST Children’s Pastor ever. She taught us, Grayites, the books of the Bible in a song.As well as everything we needed to know about Christ and His Love for us. Yes, everything we needed to know to start Kindergarten and how to live for Christ and to get along with people.
I remember her lovingly and her many stories, especially the one about the mother hen who gave her life to gather her chicks under her wings as a fire took her life.
“For God so loved the world … that He gave..”
