Obituary of Heidi Dawn Dolezal

Heidi D. Dolezal, age 44, of Waterloo, passed away on December 30, 2024 in Waterloo.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at the St. Mary’s Auditorium in Oxford.  Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the Auditorium.  Burial will be in the Grabin Cemetery. 

Heidi was born August 5, 1980 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City to William “Bill” F. and Carol Ann (Schropp) Dolezal.  She graduated from Clear Creek High School.  Heidi worked for a short time at the Amana Corporation and later for McDonald’s.

Heidi had a love of all animals.  She enjoyed crafting, sewing and making jewelry.  She was always trying to replicate and perfect her dad’s meatloaf.  In her spare time, Heidi enjoyed going to different thrift stores and collecting Olaf figurines.  She was an avid hockey fan and loved to cheer on the Waterloo Blackhawks.

Heidi’s family includes her son, David Dolezal; father, William F. Dolezal; brother, William W. Dolezal; boyfriend, Nicholas Lorenz; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Carol.
