Obituary of Warren A. Skibbe

Warren A. Skibbe, age 54 of Iowa City died Wednesday, February 15, 2006, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 18, 2006, at the Parkview Evangelical Free Church in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until services at the church. Warren Arthur Skibbe was born June 19, 1951 in Marshfield, Wisconsin, the son of Walter and Verda (Miller) Skibbe. His family moved to the Solon area where he graduated from Solon High School in 1970. He went on to attend and graduated from Kirkwood Community College with a degree in Architectural Drafting. Warren was in business in this area in the floor covering business and later in the restaurant business. He was an active member of Parkview Evangelical Church in Iowa City, enjoyed his dogs and Corvettes. He was married to Patricia Flynn who preceded him in death. Warren’s family includes two brothers, Randy Skibbe and his wife, Joyce of Coralville, and Paul Skibbe and his wife, Tina of Thornton, IA; sister, Julie Looney and her husband, Pete of Marion, six nieces and nephews, Adam Skibbe, Jessica Skibbe, Heidi Looney, Jennifer Looney, Chuck Young, and Brittany Skibbe. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Patricia. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service of Iowa City is caring for Warren’s family and his services.
