I was one of the many Coralville kids that spent a lot of time hanging out at Don's bike shop before we were old enough to drive and my bike was my transportation "center of the universe" to go down to the river to go fishing or ride to a ball game.
Don was always in the back room of the shop working, but he always had time to talk with you or stop and fix whatever problem you had with your bike, and always with a great smile on his face and a sharp sense of humor while he was putting up with us bugging him all the time!
I have a lot of good memories of growing up in Coralville when it was just a small town in the early '60's, and Don"s Bicycle shop was a big part of it all.
His passing was sad to hear of.
Don, I'm sure there's a bunch of Schwinn's and Raleigh's that need your help in heaven.
