Obituary of Robert John 'Bob&apos Wolters

Robert 'Bob' John Wolters, age 73 of Cape Coral, Florida, formerly of Iowa City died Wednesday, July 21, 2004 of cancer at the Hospice House in Cape Coral, Florida. Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 7, 2004, at Sat. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Iowa City with the Reverend Rudy Juarez officiating. Bob’s family request no flowers with memorial donations in his memory to Hospice, American Cancer Society or Mercy Hospital of Iowa City. Bob was born August 4, 1930 in Hills, Iowa the son of Herman and Agnes Fountain Wolters. On August 20, 1949, he married Dorothy Bacon. Following Dorothy death, he later married Katherine Brennan on October 19, 1979. For many years, Bob farmed with his father near Hills, and later he worked for the City of Iowa City in the water department retiring after 40 years of service. His family includes his wife, Kathy; sons, Mike Wolters of Iowa City and Mark Wolters of Coralville; three sisters, Catherine (Mrs. Jim) Albright of Terra haute, IN, Cecelia (Mrs. Alvin) Jarvis of Melrose, Iowa, and Mary Ellen (Mrs. John) Yenter of Oxford.
