During her children’s youth she was involved in their lives as a scout leader, and being a stay at home mom, which she loved! She was a member of the Coralville United Methodist Church, Coralville American Legion Auxiliary, enjoyed volunteering at the Coralville Public Library, and received the Governor’s Award for Volunteerism for the year of 2002 for her countless hours volunteering over twenty-five years at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. To her family and friends, you knew the love she had for her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed being outside and putt sing with her garden and the many flowers she so tenderly cared for. An avid Hawkeye fan she was, cheering on both the men and women’s teams in basketball, baseball, and football. As one or the charter members of the “Tuesday Nighters” she and Jim enjoyed their fellowship with these friends on a regular basis. Memorial donations can be made in “Ginni’s” memory to Coralville United Methodist Church c/o of the Peace Garden or to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for Volunteer Services through the University of Iowa Foundation.
