Obituary of Rita A. Moel

Rita Anne “Annie” Moel, 64, of Solon, died Saturday, May 28, 2005 at the Solon Care Center after a lengthy illness. Honoring Annie’s wishes, no funeral services are planned. Online condolences for Annie’s family may be sent though our website at www.gayandciha.com. Annie was born July 24, 1940 in Iowa City to Carl and Rita (Schneider) Eckrich. Annie worked at golf courses landscaping. She enjoyed playing cards, flowers, also bartending and the opportunity it gave her to meet and talk with people. Annie was a hardworking person and a loving sister. Annie’s family includes a daughter, Tracy Murray of Muscatine, two sons Tom Morris of Frisco, Texas and Todd Morris of Campbell, California, 4 grandchildren, four sisters, Carol Meade-Potter and her husband, Glenn of Tiffin, Dodie Swails and her husband, Richard of Solon, Lana Ziegler and her husband, Larry of Cape Coral, Florida and Barb Bonham of Payson, Arizona, two brothers, Jerome Eckrich of Tucson, Arizona and Joe Eckrich and wife, Diane of Claremore, Oklahoma. Also two very good friends, Pat Huber and Connie Koeppen, both of Solon, who along with Annie were known as the Golden Girls. Also special was her dog, Flip. Annie was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters.
