Wayne Raymond Lacina
1927 - 2014
Condolences
Wayne's dad Raymond was the very beloved brother of my own dad, James Lacina, Jr. It was often said that the only time anyone saw my dad cry was at Ray's funeral. Dad always talked about him and remembered him as long as he lived. Wayne's mother Irene was likewise very special to and loved by my dad and mother (Frieda Hopp Lacina). Irene was both beautiful and kind. I have a childhood memory of a chance meeting with her at St. Joseph's Cemetery. She wsas placing flowers on Grandma Lacina's grave (Josephine Zeithamel Lacina). My parents and Irene recalled old memories of the times spent with "my brother Ray" in the "good old days." I see my dad in Wayne's pictures, and the likeness has continued on down.
Betty and family,
We are praying that in His perfect time
and in His gentle way,
God's caring touch will
comfort, support,
and strengthen you and your family.
Dear Betty and Andrea
Warren, I extend sympathy to you and your family for the loss of your dad. I remember him as very congenial and welcoming, with a great sense of humor.

To the Lacina Family,
To the Lacina family I want to say how truly sorry I was to hear of Wayne's passing. I have so many fond memories of Wayne (I still call him Mr. Lacina) and the entire Lacina family that it is difficult for me to try and encapsulate a lifetime of memories into mere words.
Much of my young formative life was spent with your family and Wayne was like a second father to me in many respects. Whether it was hunting, fishing, water skiing or simply having dinner with your family your dad was always such a positive influence in my life. And while I haven't seen him for many years I would often think of him and those days at the cabin or the wild car rides we would take getting there. When I reminisce and tell others what a great childhood I had, many of the experiences I share have to do with your dad and the many times I spent with your family. I could not have wanted for a better place to grow up in or a better influence in my life than Wayne Lacina.
Wayne's concern for his family's well-being and for those around him was matched only with his generosity towards others. I will always remember his smile as he was reaching for a cold one and he always made sure that everyone around him had something cold in their hand to drink as well. Wayne was a significant influence in my life and always made me feel welcome in your home.
May your father rest in peace.

Sorry for your loss, Andrea. Whether the loss of a parent is sudden or expected, it's never easy. May you be comforted among all who mourn. -- Toby Dvoretzky, your City High classmate
Very sorry to hear of your loss, Andrea.
I was so sorry to read of Wayne's passing. I have such wonderful memories of Wayne - at the house, at the cabin, and at all the events at the Masonic Temple. He always seemed to be happy, with a ready smile and a helping hand. You have my deepest sympathy.
