Obituary of Dorothy L. Swanson

In honor of their mother’s love to travel her daughters, Judy and Ruth will journey to St. Petersburg, Florida with Dorothy’s urn for burial beside her husband, Leo Swanson Sr. Her family includes her three children, daughters, Judy Swanson and Ruth Henry of Iowa City; a son Patrick and wife, Louise Swanson of Palm Harbor, Florida; granddaughters, Jessica and husband, Jay Mienders of Lakota, Iowa, Jennifer and Ashley Swanson of Clearwater, Florida; two great grandchildren, Wyatt and Samantha Mienders of Lakota, Iowa; a brother Donald Shinn of Mason City, Iowa along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Her parents and a son, Leo Swanson Jr. preceded her in death. When someone you love, becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.
