Obituary of Juanita F. Kuepker

Juanita Faye Kuepker, age 62 of Oxford, died Saturday, March 18, 2006, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Homestead, with the Reverend Wayne Woolery officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7pm Monday at Gay & Ciha Funeral Home – Oxford Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in her memory to Iowa City Hospice or St John’s Lutheran Church @ Homestead, Iowa. Online condolences may be sent for her family through our website @www.gayandciha.com. Juanita Faye (Lee) Kuepker was born September 25, 1943, in Burlington, Iowa the daughter of Dwight A. Lee and Viola M. Penmington Lee. She attended New London High School. On February 10, 1962 she married Ralph Kuepker in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. The couple and their family lived in West Palm Beach, Florida from 1969 until moving to Oxford in 1975. Here in this area Juanita worked at Menards, the K-Mart Stores in Coralville and Iowa City, Coralville Hy-Vee and the Seven Villages Restaurant at Little Amana. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Homestead, Iowa. Juanita enjoyed life, spending time outdoors, fishing, birdwatching, time at the cabin near Brooklyn, but most of all she loved being with her family, especially all her grandkids! Her family includes her husband, Ralph; three sons and their wives, Jeff and Jacki Kuepker of Iowa City, Steve and Juli Kuepker of North Liberty, and Kenny and Michele Kuepker of Iowa City; her daughter, Krista Kuepker and partner, Dee Walker of Nichols; grandchildren, Craig, Heather, Kayla, Corey, Paige, Zachary, and Emma Kuepker, and Jacob Walker; sister and her husband, Jeanie and Rich Seberg of Mt. Pleasant, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Donnie Lee and Bobby Swanson. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service of Oxford and Iowa City is caring for Juanita’s family and her services.
