Obituary of Brian J. Alderman

Brian J. Alderman, age 51 of 1900 Rochester Court ( a Systems Home) died Friday, July 21, 2006, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. A celebration of Brian’s Life with a gathering of friends will be held from 4 to 6pm Tuesday, July 25, 2006. at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. Brian James Alderman was born July 2, 1955, in Muscatine, Iowa the son of Harry J. and Barbara Frances (Chapman) Alderman. Growing up his mother along with a number of other mothers taught their children with special needs in their homes, later becoming the Nelson School for Retarded Children. In his adult life he worked for Goodwill, working for a number of employers in the area. He was one of the first individuals to be a part of the Systems Unlimited organization, which to up to his death was his second family. He has always had a passion for music, having a vast collection of records from many different artists over many years; he enjoyed arts and crafts, and his many friends who will deeply miss him. His family includes his parents, Harry and B. Frances Alderman of Iowa City, and a host of many friends. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service is caring for Brian’s family and his services.
