Helena enjoyed life, you could see the joy in her face when she delivered one of many wedding cakes that she just had made for that very important day, or share one of the many quilts or afghans that she had done. She was an avid Hawkeye Fan; but by far, her greatest joy in life was being mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, nothing topped this! Her family includes daughters, Helen D. Clausen and her husband, Ted of Grinnell, IA, and Roberta J. Luers of Iowa City; son, Robert J.W. Davis and his wife, Sharon of Iowa City; ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, sister, Evelyn Sojka of Washington, IA; brother-in-law, Bill Davis and his wife, Margaret of Parnell; sisters-in-law, Pearl Yordi of North Liberty and Polly Yordi of Litchfield, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a granddaughter, and two brothers. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service of Iowa City is caring for Helenas family and her services.
