Obituary of Cassidy Lynn Flowers

Cassidy Lynn Flowers, daughter of Thomas D. Flowers and Erin L. Wehr-Flowers of 1434 Oaklawn Avenue, Iowa City died Thursday, August 16, 2007, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Injuries to Cassidy were received in an automobile accident Thursday morning in Washington County. She was celebrating her ninth birthday on the day of the accident. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, August 18, 2007, at Gay & Ciha Funeral Home in Iowa City. There will be an opportunity to see Cassidy's family following these services. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in her memory to be used in a way to remember this beautiful child. She and her family moved to Iowa City the year she started kindergarten. She had completed the third grade at Shimek Elementary School in Iowa City. Her family includes her parents, Erin and Tom; grandparents, Katie Flowers of Chicago; Janet Mannen of Mansfield, TX; and Tom Wehr of Washington, Iowa; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and family who so cherished Cassidy. She was preceded in death by Johnny Mack Flowers. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service is caring for Cassidy’s family and her services.
