Hi Betty,
We are so sorry to hear of Ernie's death. He was such a sweet and caring man. Steve remembers his years as Ernie's dentist and especially the day Ernie passed out while he was pulling tooth. My memory is when Ernie helped us plan and order our new kitchen cabinets. Those new cabinets are still great and I think of him often.
Dear Betty: We are sorry to hear of Ernie's passing. We got the information off Press Ctizen.com while we are in Florida. I (Phyl) got to know Ernie while serving on the Building Committee at church and we had some good times. He loved the church. May he rest in peace and may God bring you comfort. Phyl and Bob Lentfer
I have so many favorite memories of Uncle Ernie, but one of my absolute favorites is when he would stop by The MAC in Cedar Rapids when he was passing through just to say "Hi" to Ryan and I. What an amazing Uncle!!
The struggles are over now dad, a gift once given to us has now been returned to its owner, our Lord and Savior, until we meet again....you will be in our hearts and prayers,
You will be missed Ernie, you always had a hug for me and kind words to say. I am greatful to have known you and Betty. May your soul be free with our Lord.
You are the most amazing man I know. Your family was your priority, every single one of us. You have been there since day one at every single important event in my life and I am so thankful for that. You even made it to a soccer game of mine every year. Our lunch dates we would have were the best lunch dates, you were always so proud to show me off and brag about the rest of us. I am so glad that I have been able to spend the last 6 months partially living under your roof with you. I loved your hugs you would just give me randomly, you would squeeze tight and not let go. I really could go for a grandpa hug right about now.
