Lucy was certainly the one who kept the place going. If the plant was a wagon wheel she was the hub. People like me, Jim Brown, and others came and went, but Lucy was the long term anchor of it all.

I came to work for ADS in 1978 in Iowa City. Lucy was always the "Glue" that held everyting together. She enjoyed the customers and the the people she worked with. Her can do attitude helped me build my career and I thank her for that. Lucy and Wayne Dunn were the push in making ADS work in Iowa in those early years. I always remember that it had to be well below freezing for her to wear a coat and her Chrysler Imperial bought at Delzell Motors was her joy.

Lucy's granddaughters and family were her Life as well as the Hawkeyes. She truely was a one of a kind Lady and I can say I was proud to have known her. May she rest in Peace.

I was fortunate to have Lucy as my "go to" person from the minute I joined the ADS organization in 1971. She was so willing to help and only because of her did I survive my first few years. Many don't realize how small ADS was at that time and Lucy knew it from the bottom up. We have stayed in touch over the years and have been very concerned as this was the first year I did not get a Christmas card from her. I hope back in December she could still enjoy mine. My thoughts and prayers are with the family as I know how important and how close they all were.

I am so sorry to hear of Lucy's death. My thoughts and prayers to her family. I worked with Lucy at ADS. and will remember her as a kind, caring, and strong woman that I looked up to. She was a wonderful lady!

I have wonderful memories of Lucy from many years ago when she worked at Advanced Drainage Systems in Iowa City. She was so important to that business that I cannot imagine it without her. Always she had a friendly smile and always she knew the answers. I'm sorry she is gone, but she will be remembered by many who treasured her.
