Marge was living diagonally across the street when we moved into what was then (and, possibly, in the view of the older nearby residents, still is) the Van Allen house on Ferson Ave. She was always good for a story about the neighbors -- I seem to recall she was born up the block a few houses -- as well as a fount of information about Iowa City. Always friendly, always asking after our daughters, Marge was a pillar of the neighborhood. Please accept my sincere condolences.
