Obituary of Marjorie Hady

Marjorie J. "Marge" Hady, 82, longtime resident of Iowa City, died Sunday, March 4, 2012, at the Solon Nursing Care Center. In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held and her cremated remains will be inurned at the Oakland Cemetery Columbarium in Iowa City. Online condolences may be sent to her family through the web @www.gayandciha.com. Marjorie J. (Porter) Hady was born, June 6, 1929, in Iowa City; daughter of Kirk and Irene (Grey) Porter. She attended U-High and Iowa State University. She worked for many years at Catherine's in downtown Iowa City and after that spent many more years as a teller with First National Bank in Iowa City. Her family includes her daughter, Carla Hady (Robert Greenwood) of Oak Ridge, TN; grandsons, Noah Miller of New York, NY, Nathan Miller of Chicago, IL and James Stone of Dayton, OH; and sister, Caroline Zeller of Iowa City. Marge was preceded in death by her daughter, Janice Miller and her parents.
