Mary Belle Brandstatter

Condolences
Rex and Rox-
What a great person to know! Mary & I lived in the basement of Brandy and Belle's home on 11th Ave when we first got married. We enjoyed knowing your folks for many years as business neighbors when I was at Nelson's Meats. I always got a smile from her at HyVee or seeing her at the Post Office. One of the best stories we shared was on a cold day I would say "The Kee birds are here!!" which got a big laugh from her. Thanks for being a part of Coralville. Sorry for your loss. I've played bridge with Mary Belle for many, many years. She was fun, we laughed a lot and she was a VERY good bridge player. Boy would she get the cards! She'd really laugh when I would tell on several occasions that I'd run into Rex and told him I'd played bridge with his mom, to which he'd ask "does she cheat?" Mary Belle got the biggest kick out of that. She was a great lady and I'll miss her a lot.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. You have our deepest sympathy Rex and Michelle.
Sorry to hear of your loss. We remember you from the old neighborhood on 7th ave and 11th ave. The memories will always be there. Your mom was always so nice. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Rex, Rox and families, I am sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Fond memories with become priceless for you. Sending prayers and condolences to you all.
Rox, we were sorry to learn of the death of your mother. No matter how old we are when our parents die, it is still experienced as a deep loss. No one can take a mother's place in our lives. We hope you have many special memories with her that go back a long time.
Rox--
Saw the article about your mom in the Journal-- much sympathy. I think of you on a regular basis, especially when I read how they try to micromanage the curriculum in the schools nowadays. You and I and Margaret (who is still alive and sharp at at least a hundred) had a great curriculum-- bottom line, if you hire intelligent, educated, creative people you are going to end up with successful students. Of course, we were backed up by the parents and the administration, not something you can rely on anymore.
The Queen of 11th Avenue. Just one of the friendly faces that welcomed my family to the neighborhood in 1964. The Brandstatters represent the best of Coralville, and oh how this one will be missed. RIP and all blessings and condolences to the family.
Rex, Rox and families,
We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Your mom was a wonderful and beautiful lady. I remember her as far back as Coralville Elementary School when mothers were assigned to help with school projects or send treats to school. Bob and I both remember your parents at the vacuum cleaner store. Our thoughts are prayers are with you at this difficult time.
Rex & Family,
I have many times said I wanted to grow up to be MaryBelle Brandstatter. She was so full of life. Every time I saw her there was a warm, heartwarming hug and smile. She had a heart of gold. She and Brandy raised two great boys who I am so glad to call my friends. My love and condolences to Rex and Rox. I will miss her alot.
To Joe and Katie, and all of the Brandstatter family: I am very sorry about the loss of your grandmother and mother. I met her at your bridal shower, Kate, here at my home. My sympathy and prayers are with you, that you may feel the sun on your face and keep your grandma 's smile in your hearts.
Rex and Michele my regrets, May God be with you and your family.
Rex, Michelle and family,
God bless you during this difficult time.
We are both sad to hear of your Moms death. She was a very dear person, so full of energy. Whenever we had the opportunity to visit with her, she always wanted an update on each family member. Bill has many fond memories of her growing up in the neighborhood.
Rox, Rex & Families: My sincerest condolences to you and your families during this tough time of losing your Mom/Grandmother. Losing a parent is always a tough, emotional time to go through. My thoughts and prayers are with you folks during this time; may God Bless you and comfort you with His never-ending love.
Rex, Rox, and Family, I am saddened to hear of the loss of the matriarch of the Coralville Brandstatter Clan. Her smiling face will be missed by all that knew her. I am sure that our old neighborhood section in Heaven will become a livelier place upon her arrival.
