Condolences
Joy we are so so sorry to hear of John's passing. Our heart goes out to you and your family at the time.
Remenber an cherish all the good times and keep them with you always.
John was a family man I grew up with John Dawn his sister is my best friend from 4th grade on. He had a thing for B names his best friends names were Bob, Brent, and Bart. His daughter name Brooklyn and dog name was Blue. John was like my big brother you could joke around with him and tell him things that he would not tell anyone else. Fly high get to go fishing with Blue again.
John was so kind and had such a big heart. I remember him with a smile on his face every time I would see him in school. Sending my prayers and deepest sympathies to all of John’s family. God has gained one special angel.
I am sorry to hear about your loss. Jon was always a fun person I school. Please know you are in my prayers.
As I think back on my memories of John in school and growing up in the same small community, the recurring theme is what a good and gentle soul he was. Always kind, always one to reach out and be a friend. I remember seeing him at a reunion and hearing him talk about his family with such happiness and pride. My sincerest sympathies to John’s family in this difficult time of loss. I hope that you will be lifted by prayers and knowing how much John meant to so many people.
I remember John walking on my bus for the first time when they first moved to town. He had on a shirt of what looked to me like a furry pig, so naturally I thought his family farmed hogs like we did. I later found out what/who the Arkansas Razorbacks were!..I haven't seen John in many years but his distinct laugh still echoes in my mind. The memories of the fun-loving things we used to seek out after high school, going to the "rez", blues fest in Iowa City, etc. I have to say that in my experience with him all through school and even after high school when we would "hang out" once in a while, he never made me feel uncomfortable or unaccepted as a friend. He was a pretty cool guy and I'm going to miss him.
To his family and loved ones, my prayers have been sent and hopefully those prayers are heard by John as wonderful music up there. My hope is that some of my memories of him here will bring a knowing smile as you realize the positive impact he had in this guy's life, and maybe help ease the pain of the loss of a Good Man - so very sorry for your loss.
My condolence to the family and friends for the loss of John. Dawn and Chris sister and brother im so sorry my thoughts and prayers are with you
I haven't seen John since he was a little boy. I am his cousin on his father's side. My mother Marilyn Grandstaff was his aunt. I just want to send my condolences to John's family and that he may fly with the angels.

Though the heart stops it’s beat, and there seems no starting point. The waves of it’s beginning will be forever felt through friends, family and those whom John had touched.
I knew you only a short while, but will remember you for your fighting courage, and fast smile . Joy, thank you for being my friend so that I had the opportunity to meet John, my thoughts and prayers extend to you and the family hfaB3
