I'm so sorry for your lost. I moved away from Iowa and unfortunately just heard about the passing of Dr. layman. I worked with him in the Cath Lab for 17 years. He was an amazing person and will be greatly missed.
What an amazing testimony of love and admiration for a Man who lived a very rich and fulfilling life. May his memories bring you comfort as time goes by. Psalms 34:18. My deepest and heartfelt sympathy to the family.
Our blessings to all of the Layman family. The last time we saw Tom was at our last alumni banquet in 2015. I was a classmate of his and I have many wonderful memories of our high school years.
I worked with Dr. Layman for a few years at Biotest. He was such a pleasure to work with. He had such an honest attitude I always appreciated. In the past year I started running into him and Koda at the Dog park, and we would sit on a bench and chat while the dogs played. I'm sad that I won't get to do that again, but grateful for the times that I got to enjoy his company. He will be remembered fondly by so many people.
I had the pleasure of working with and for Tom for several years. His love and compassionate care of his patients was above and beyond. I learned so much from him in those years and will cherish this always. His wit and sense of humor made working for him even more enjoyable. Deepest sympathy to all his family and especially my friend,Brenda and Ezra and Isaac whom I babysat for a few times. I have fond memories with Tom and all of you. May you feel comfort in knowing he was N outstanding physician and person!❤️

I fondly remember working with Dr. Layman at St. Mary's in Mpls. A great physician. Sympathy to his family.
I always looked up to Uncle Tom, thanks to him he’s what got me interested in surgery, he got me in to see an open heart surgery when I was 14-15 , it was amazing. I will always be thankful to him for that , I will miss you Uncle Tom. Love you. Les hoffman
I was a family physician at Mercy when Dr. Layman was there. He was always helpful with cardiac patients and I enjoyed consulting him. He was also a good conversationalist so I liked talking with him about things other than medicine. My condolences to his family.
Dear Layman Family, My condolences. Dr Layman was very proud of his family and Illinois roots. He often had patients from Illinois and Mercy staff would tease him about his home town and home state recruits. I admired his ability to talk with people in a thoughful and kind manner no matter what the situation. I think his own life experiences, trials and tribulations added to his compassion for his patients, friends and family. Peace and pause to you as you celebrate the life and love of a fine man.
To Tom's family. It was with sadness when I read of Tom's passing. I had known him long ago when I worked at Schmitt Music in Minneapolis. Tom used to come in and check out the new LP's we received every week. He was loved by all the staff there. Blessings and peace to you.
