So sorry I missed the visitation, as I had some health issues. I loved doing Cecil's hair over the years. She was such a great person! So kind and giving to everyone. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

John and Gaynel,
I'm so sorry for the loss of John's mom. I know it is always hard to lose a parent but I know you will see her again. Blessings to you and your family.
Hoping to share my Condolences to the Family. Such a nice lady and wonderful person. "Mrs. Burch' 'goes ahead' to be with her husband. ONE day the Family showed up in Coralville. Lots of kids in a modest house on 6th avenue. They 'never left', as once you have lived in Coralville, other places just can't add up.
Mrs. Burch attended a million games, settled a million 'family disputes', and thru it all, lead the Burch Family until her last days.
The Burch Kids have lost MOM, others have lost an Aunt and more,, we regular Coralville 'people' have lost a good friend.
Best regards to the entire Family,
Rex Brandstatter
I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Aunt Cecil. You have my deepest sympathy, Lisa Ireland
So sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I loved working with Cecil in Cardiothoracic Surgery at UIHC. I was new to the University as well as the Iowa City area and she was always friendly and helpful. She was also fun and full of life. Every year at Halloween she dressed in costume and brought treats around to all of us. Cecil also made all the mints for the reception when Paul and I were married, back when wedding receptions still had mints on the table!! I know she will be missed.

My sincere sympathy to family of Cecilia. I was a friend of and 4th cousin of Cecilia. Was in grade school and high school and a friend all those years. While raising a family I was busy and didn't keep close touches with classmates so didn't get together until later years but enjoyed Cookie & Cecilia with a lot of good times. Will keep her soul in my prayers and also the family. God Bless You All.
Thinking of all of you during your loss. Fondly remember all those years ago on Avenue J.
The Schumaker girls, Carla, Karen, Gayle and Anita.
John,
So sorry for your loss. She sounds like a great lady. Prayers up.
