Helen Ann and I were so close when we were children. Cousins could not get much closer. When her family came to visit my family we would play for hours in the yard and the barn and the fields. So many games and adventures 2 girls could dream up. As we grew older we would write letters back and forth every few weeks. Pine River, MN. holds special memories for both of us. I will never forget the cousin, CUZ, that I love so much. Always in my ❤️.
My deepest sympathy goes out to Helen's family. Helen & I were good friends at school in Lone Tree. During our teen years, Helen joined us on 2 family trips: Wisconsin Dells, horseback riding, "roughing it" in a nice cabin. Another time in Minneapolis, we went to the brand-new movie "HELP!" at a wonderful huge theater that had the large velvet curtain which opened before the show. We had so much fun, you would have thought we'd seen The Beatles in person!! I'm so happy I saw her at several class reunions & I'll truly miss her. Since I'm not in Iowa at this time, I'm sorry I won't be at the service, though I'll be with you in spirit. Loving thoughts & prayers are with you. Bev Herring-Black
