Cousins David, Carolyn, and Gary,
I just learned of Uncle Leonard’s passing last May. We would always exchange Christmas cards and share our thoughts about the Hawkeyes. But I did not receive a card this year. He was blessed to live 99 years and be such a positive influence on so many friends and family. About once a semester at Iowa, I would stop by his office to visit. His secretary did her best to tell me he was too busy and then allow me in when I told her I was his nephew. I remember playing golf with Uncle Leonard and Aunt Lorna once when they started sword fighting with their putters on one of the greens. It was fun to see them having fun!
So very sorry for your loss! I hope this message gets to you.
