Everyone is grieving for the loss of Larry in their own way. This may take awhile. Every time we watch the Hawkeyes or play golf, Larry is on our minds. Rich particularly misses their phone call game recaps on our drive home Sunday. He was a unique character. We loved Larry and miss him dearly.

Deb & Family - please accept my condolences for the passing of Larry. We we good friends throughout Junior High and High School and later after the military. Larry was always ready for adventure and enjoyed life to the fullest. I'm thankful for the memories. As with everyone we'll miss our friend.

DEB, you don't know me dear but I am Margy and Cathy and Rick Carters cousin. I knew Larry when we were kids. When his family came to visit Aunt Marge and Uncle Tom I was always there too playing with my cousins and Larry. I always thought he was a cutie. I want to say how sorry I am that he has passed. May God bless you and your family at this sorrowful time. May God wrap his arms around you all and hold you close with His comforting Love. Sandi Wright Richmond
Dear Deb, so sorry for your loss and ours. Loved Larry and all of you. Larry tried to teach me how to golf and he did. Always talked with me sincerely
I will miss him alot like everyone else.
Larry carried this verse in his billfold and I want share it with all of you. “WhenI come to the end of the road and this sun has set for me. I want no rites in a gloom filled room, why cry for a soul set free! Miss me a little, but not too long. And not with your head bowed low. Remember the love we once shared. Miss me but let me go. For this is a journey we all must take and each must go alone. It’s all part of the masters plan, a step on the road to home.when you are lonely and sick of heart, go to the friends we know and bury your sorrows in doing good deeds. Miss me- but let me go. For me it is very hard to let him go but I know he is pain free and looking for all the golf courses! Thank you for all the words of encouragement and prayers. Deb
Dear Deb,
You probably hardly recall me but Larry and I worked together for years at both Allied and Mayflower. Larry always worked at a furious pace as a mover--the better to head immediately to the course. Working with Larry I had to learn how to play. I remember finishing jobs in remote rural areas yet Larry possessed an uncanny ability to locate a course. For good or ill, I now share his passion.
Rest in peace and God bless,
Jim Millhorn
I am so sorry to hear this news. Larry was a great guy. Hopefully he's getting to play Pebble Beach every day now. RIP my friend.
I met Larry several years ago when I was invited to play in the "Sunday Game". I didn't know many of the golfers in this group and Larry went out of his way to make me feel welcome and we developed a friendship because of his kindness.
Deb, Amber, Ted and Avery,
Our little world will be very different without this wonderful man. Larry was truly the kindest man I've ever met. Barry and I will miss him terribly. The phone will certainly be less busy, and we will miss that twinkle as he tells a story. I remember his excitement and joy when his sister found him, it meant so much to him to know his 'story'. Our hearts ache, but our thoughts are joyful.

Deb/Amber - I'm sorry for your loss. Larry was a great guy. We had a lot of great moments at Pleasant Valley. PV was an important part of Larry's life. I'm sure he is enjoying a round of golf right now - hope his playing partners don't mind the free lesson they are going to get!!
