I met Scott through classes we took in Law Enforcement at Kirkwood Commuilty College. He was always had a friendly face and had a positive vibe. We only spoke and crossed paths a few times after college, but when we did it was like time hadn't passed. He will be missed by all that had the pleasure to be in his presence. I met Scott years back during slow pitch softball and later as neighbors when he would walk/jog with Bo through the neighborhood. Always enjoyed talking to Scott and was very saddened to see this.

Uncle Dick and Aunt Sherrel,
I have many memories of Scott from childhood at Grammy’s. His huge smile, contagious laugh and willingness to always play basketball or catch. Wishing you peace knowing that Heaven has gained a great one.
You are close in thought and prayer,
Alyssa
I am so sorry for the whole family’s loss of Scott. What I remember the most is that all of the huge Vest family would get together for Thanksgiving at grandma and grandpa’s Vest house. There was so many children that we all had to spread out on the floor combining the living room and dining room. We had so much fun and played together. I remember going up to Minnesota and having our family reunions up there. We all stayed in cabins, went fishing, and went hiking on the trails above the dam. What good memories, we had a blast. You will be missed cuz, I Love You
Kayla and children .We are so sorry for your loss. Scott was a pleasure to work with .He was indeed a people person. His personality made you feel comfortable and appreciated. Msy the Bible's hope comfort you and your family during this very difficult time.. John 5:28,29 Vern and Bev Rhodes
Kayla, Sherrel, Dick, Deb, Scott and families: I have struggled what to write on this and just could not come up with the right words. I went searching the internet and found the perfect words:
Nephew
Of all the many blessings
However great or small
To have had you for a nephew
Was the greatest one of all.
The family chain is broken now
And nothing seems the same
But as God takes us one by one
The chain will link again.

Sorry for the Miller family in the loss of Scott he was a great friend and boss may you rest in peace Scott
I grew up with Scott and Deb, from grade school until our paths took different directions during high school years. It never changed the bond I shared with the Miller family!! We share many fond memories of playing in the creek, learning how to play “spoons” ... to listening to Kiss albums. Rest easy Scott, jump in every mud puddle, win every game of cards and turn the music up as loud as you like!!
Dick and Sherrel, Kayla, and all the Miller family;
As you know, Scott was a great friend for over thirty years. We had the pleasure of enjoying some incredible highs and we had each other's backs through some extremely difficult times. He was kind and thoughtful, generous and caring, competitive and funny. I had been fortunate to spend some quality time with Scott recently, and he shared stories of his parents, his wife, his children, and his grandchildren. He was so proud and happy to be so blessed. God speed my friend! You will be thought of often, and missed always! Rest in eternal peace.
