Condolences
Rest in peace, Jim. It was a delight working near you at U of I Physical Plant .
To the Family of James York,
I only knew Jim through my visits with Skeeter and Widget. Spending time with him was a highlight of our shift! He always had a ready smile and enjoyed fussing over the dogs as much as they enjoyed his attention. He was clearly a kind person and a true animal lover, a sign of great character in my book!
He was a great guy and we will miss our visits with him.
With sympathy,
Jean, Skeeter & Widget
I am sorry to read of Jim's death. I took care of Mary when she was in Iowa City Hospice in the 80's. After that bonding experience, Jim would see me around town and always remembered me and spoke to me like old friends! I have watched that area by his Christmas trees change over time and wondered how he was doing. Blessings to you all and comfort in this time of grief.
