In hearing of losing Dan, I've been reflecting on all my childhood memories with him. At that time in my life (mostly the 1970's), my "Uncle Dan" and Uncle Bryce were significant influences. Both intelligent jokesters with hearts of gold. To this day, I believe my wit and desire to get people to laugh and smile comes from these early influences. Thankfully, I was able to avoid some of the more mischievous influences of theirs. My very first ride in a Corvette was in his blue beauty (was it blue or is that my age showing?). I knew then I wanted to own one before it's my time to leave this earth. His curiosity and questioning of all things stirred that part of my personality. I may not have had direct communication with Dan in decades, but he's as alive as ever in my thoughts and memories. I will miss him.
