Condolences
I am so very sorry for your loss. Growing up, we spent a lot of time at Uncle Donnie and Aunt Edith's house in Richland. Lyle "put up" with the younger cousins and I'm positive that we irritated him. I will remember Lyle's bigger than life smile and his wonderful laugh. Thinking of you all during this difficult time.
The Final Flight
Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free,
I’m following the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard his call,
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work, to play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I’ve found that peace at the end of the day.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah, yes, these things too I will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My Life’s been full, I savoured much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one’ touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.
Tami,
Sending lots of love and support your way. I know all too well the heaviness in your heart. Lean on your family and friends to help carry you through. I remember Lyle coming up to visit us when we shared an office at the VA, I used to say to myself wow this man is so quiet, he never says a word. Please reach out to me if there is anything I can do for you.

I remember Lyle as a neighbor..he and my brother Roger were friends and I and his sister, Carol and brother. Ronnie, were friends. I remember Lyle and Roger pushing the three of us down the sidewalk in that old wagon and laughing uncontrollably all the way. Lyle had a badass Cuda and he "allowed" Carol and I to rub the wax off and shine the rims. He had a mirror finish on that car. He was always laughing! I also remember Lyle asking my Grandpa if he could get a couple of gallons of gas from the barrel and my Grandpa never told him no. He always wanted to make sure Lyle never ran out. Lyle was a great "older brother" to me and really never minded Carol and I tagging along behind. RIP Lyle...you will not be forgotten!!
